Affordable Housing Program

The Good Shepherd Housing Foundation began its Community Affordable Rentals Component in 2008 with the purchase of 4 townhouses in Woodbridge. Shortly after the Foundation purchased an additional 4 homes. All homes were purchased with funds from HUD.

This is a permanently affordable housing program for families with low income and who meet the HUD Affordable Income Guidelines. The majority of houses are for families making up to 50% of AMI (area median income). Families pay 30% of their income toward rent and are responsible for utilities.

Each home is inspected every three years or on move-out by the Staff of the PWC Office of Housing and Community Development to insure safety, appropriate maintenance, and affordability. Good Shepherd is also committed to supporting families in a stable and attractive environment and encouraging an unbroken school history for the children that live there.
